Chocolate Cake from Butler’s Chocolate Cafe
This K-Town coffee house has been enjoying its place under the spotlight ever since it started serving out and their fame is totally justified. Apart from being famous for their impeccable coffee, Butler’s has gained quite a reputation regarding customer care and well, their mouth-watering desserts!
Their Chocolate Cake slice has never failed to steal the show. Nothing’s better than a soft, chocolaty cake slice that accompanies your coffee sessions. Topped with warm Chocolate sauce, the cake slice can easily be divided into three layers of absolute chocolate madness; the upper, thicker layer of chocolate cream, followed by an airy sponge, that has layers of smooth, chocolate icing in between. Costing around PKR 366, this cake slice paired with a single scoop of Vanilla Gelato, is a combination that can rarely go wrong, especially in winters.
Chocolate Lava Cake from Vintage
Chocolate Lava cakes; a tricky dessert to nail, but an easy dessert to gobble down. Vintage has been known for their famous cake slices and cupcakes, but their trophy dessert that totally deserves attention, is their Chocolate Lava cake. This warm brownie cake, when cut open, oozes out a heavenly chocolate sauce that soon invades the plate and your taste palette. The cake needs to be taken out of the oven at a particular temperature to get you a warm and gooey dessert you deserve!
The dessert comes in with a Vanilla Gelato scoop that sits on top of a dark chocolate semi-circle, which adds to the cakey madness taking place on your plate. The bitterness of the dark chocolate balances the sweetness of the chocolate filling, making one’s stomach happy without getting a severe sugar overdose. This dessert is heavy on quality, not on your pocket, as it will cost you PKR 325, promising you a bag full of flavor and quality.
Choco-Berry Waffle Sundae from Lal’s Patisserie
Waffles? Aren’t they supposed to be your breakfast buddies? Not anymore! Lal’s, a beloved patisserie famous among sweet tooth civilians, has changed the Waffle league for us.
These Waffles are soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside; just how a Waffle should be. Topped with a flavorsome Chocolate sauce, fresh Strawberries, a single scoop of divine Vanilla Gelato and of course, Whipped Cream to tie all the ingredients together. Costing PKR 425, this dessert, with all its richness, can be shared easily by 2-3 people, depending on how many Chocolate maniacs are diving into this plate. Unfortunately, I’m one of those unlucky people who cannot handle the sudden sugar rush, which one experiences after having a heavy dessert. Hence, I need at least two more people to accompany me into finishing this classic.
