IPhone 7 has made to the streets, and its one tough and strong contender to talk about; new colors, different design. I’m sure you are counting your pennies to get this bad boy, but hey, wait! Take a back seat until you exactly know what’s under the hood. Let’s find out.
It’s obvious we all want to stay updated with the latest gadgets and being a loyal iPhone customer, you must have high expectations from Apple’s new edition. On the contrary, it’s not important if it’s the right fit for you. True, it’s been our companion for the past 2 years and iPhone 6 is not something to be left behind so easily even if it’s for the ‘so called’ better version of it.
Rooting for iPhone 7? Then prepare yourself to carry an additional power bank as a contingency. Apple promised to provide extra battery life over iPhone 6, which already has a good battery performance. However, personally using it turns the tables around. By a larger battery, iPhone 7 fails to get by a day with a heavy or temperate usage compared to iPhone 6, when it was new. Thus, it made no further progress since the last two generations.
You’ll find it hilarious, even after the slight design change the skins and covers of iPhone 6 fits iPhone 7, with the same screen size and dimension. What’s more intriguing is that you cannot differentiate between the operating system of iPhone 6 and 7, if going through the home screen. The layout, the built in applications and the icons are all the same as in iPhone 6. Even though the colors are sharp and vivid, the icon style and design remains the same, making it not that exciting. You’re receiving notifications the same way as it was in iPhone 6, with no new tricks to the settings area or even the phone application. Apple may have worked on the exterior but the interior is still old and plain!
Keeping all that aside, Apple proves to bring more enhanced high tech camera specs in all its newer generations, but that’s not a promising reason to upgrade to iPhone 7. Camera on iPhone 7 is quite underwhelming! Mount both smartphones on a tripod to take a picture and you won’t be able to spot the difference, as the picture quality is exactly the same. Although, iPhone 7’s camera is more focused, the pictures are brighter in low light conditions, thanks to a bigger aperture, which is an added bonus.
The next step forward would’ve been wireless headphones. True, but no one said to remove the headphone jack! I am shocked; my Beats headsets are now a waste. It’s a big struggle to keep an additional headphone jack in your pocket to use your traditional earpieces, and that too is expensive. Imagine if you lost one. The lack of a headphone jack gives iPhone 6 an upper hand over iPhone 7.
Loyal Apple customers agree to the fact this is not what they imagined to get after the breath taking iPhone 6. Many aren’t ready to go wireless, yet making it difficult. Unless your iPhone 6 is severely facing lags, my opinion would be no! It’s not worth the money to upgrade it!
